Job Description

The ideal candidate will have sufficient writing and editing experience as well as experience in managing content, developing editorial calendars, and working with writers and other editors. They must be highly organised, have an eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. The Managing Editor and Writer will ensure that all content is accurate, on-brand, and on schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

• Liaise with SEO agencies to procure high-search volume topics and keywords
• Optimize and publish each post.
• Use the topics provided by SEO to create a structure for writers and provide suitable references.
• Edit or rewrite, fact-check and review all blog posts – all information, insights, data, statistics, quotes, and examples must be from credible sources.
• Run all internally recommended blog posts by SEO agencies to check search volumes
• Ensure all posts are compliant with the brand’s tone and style.
• Manage the content library and calendar, and update it.

Requirements

• 7 to 9 years as a managing editor/content coordinator with experience in professional SEO-driven writing and editing
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
• Knowledge or experience in international education is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken
• Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and other content management systems
