How to Approach College Essays
In this session, we will discuss how you can approach the essay component of your application. Impactful college essays for US universities require you to write reflectively and share a story/narrative that demonstrates your personality beyond your grades and extracurricular activities. UK personal statements are relatively straightforward. They require you to write and showcase your interest in your intended major. You have to focus on activities that are related to your intended major and talk about skills that you have developed that will help you in your degree. Indian Liberal Arts college essays are personal and reflective. Students need to highlight their ability to think critically and solve problems while showcasing how they perceive the world around them.An Admissions Officer will share case studies.
College to Careers:
In this session, our students who have majored in various fields like computer science, gender studies and more and are working at MNCs like Google, Mckenzie, or CNN, will share insights on how they were successful in the recruiting process. They will explain how they built their profiles to stand out in the recruiting process/ what they did as undergraduate students to stand out in the process (E.g. internships/ clubs/ campus societies/ community service)
