WES translates degrees and grades into the US or Canadian academic equivalent.
Confirms the authenticity of transcripts and academic records.
Provides universities with a consistent format for evaluation.
Satisfies credential requirements for postgraduate, MBA and sometimes undergraduate applications.
Sends verified evaluations directly to selected institutions.
Applicants are encouraged to begin the process as early as possible once they are sure they intend to apply to universities in the US or Canada. WES requires seven working days after receiving all documents and payment. We recommend starting the process at least four to six weeks before the first application deadline to avoid delays.
Applicants must complete their fifth semester and begin the WES application soon after. This way, updated mark sheets are available, and the report reflects progress towards completing the degree.
Applicants can begin the process without a final transcript, but if all semester-wise mark sheets are not available, the evaluation may reflect only partial completion. We recommend getting an assessment with the most recent mark sheet.
Applicants may submit provisional or incomplete scores if issued by the appropriate institutional authority and serve as an official record of completed study.
Applicants should refer to the WES document requirements for India. Many universities now transmit documents digitally through the National Academic Depository (NAD) or NSDC authentication. In some cases, sealed physical copies may be sent directly to WES by the institution.
It is uncommon for Indian universities to deny document transmission, primarily through NSDC or digital partnerships. If an institution does not respond, applicants may contact WES directly for further assistance.
WES may contact the institution directly to verify the records. While not the preferred method due to potential delays, it is a possible solution.
WES provides detailed guides and instructional videos to help applicants navigate the website, follow the correct submission process, and avoid common mistakes.
Delays may result from high-volume application periods, incomplete document sets, or institutional holidays. WES typically completes evaluations within two to four weeks after receiving and verifying all required documents.
WES does not currently offer an expedited service. Applicants who begin early, follow submission instructions carefully, and provide all documents will generally not require one.
Applicants can log into their WES account using their reference number to monitor progress and view updates. WES also sends status alerts and email notifications.
WES customer support is available through the applicant portal. In some complex cases, applicants working with The Red Pen may receive personalised assistance for more efficient resolution.
