A Day in the Life of a Charterhouse Online Student

Charterhouse Online is a challenging but intellectually rewarding programme. You can complete your A Levels through accelerated learning in a single year (instead of two) and open doors to university education much sooner. But how rigorous is the programme? Here’s what your typical day would look like as a Charterhouse Online student:

Study time for each A Level subject at Charterhouse Online

To complete your A Levels, you must study three subjects. For each A Level subject at Charterhouse Online, you will require the following:

• One hour of self-study before your lesson
• 145-minute live lesson
• 30 minutes of homework after your lesson
• A 30-minute live tutorial or a subject clinic every day.

Striking a balance between study and leisure

We believe that while it’s essential to dedicate your time to studying, it is equally important to have a balanced life with time for friends, family and exercise to process what you’ve learnt. In fact, at the start of your Charterhouse Online programme, your tutor will work with you to plan a personalised timetable and help you create an approach to accelerated learning that will focus on your well-being and results.

Your online live lessons will be held at a fixed time with students from different countries closer to your time zone while you schedule your self-study and homework time.

Arya lives in Bangalore and hopes to pursue a BSc in Data Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She trains for tennis in the evenings and prefers studying in the morning.
